Hello everyone

This is the new topic about the All Stars Night.

All Stars Night is the name of dance competition and party
organized by BASIC DANCESPORT CLUB,
the dance studio in Nakhon Pathom.

The place of the event is at The Grand Diamond Room,
Whale Hotel in Nakhon Pathom province,
approximately 1:30 hours by car from central Bangkok.

There have been total 5 times of All Stars Night since 2007.

January 2007       The 1st All Stars Night
Jan 26, 2008        The 2nd All Stars Night
July 26, 2008       All Stars Night (Mid-year)
Jan 17, 2009        All Stars Night # 3
July 18, 2009       All Stars Night (Mid-year)

I have been informed by Pa Odd (one of the organizer’s team)
that there will be the next event on Saturday Jan 23, 2010.
 

Remark :

Pa Odd informed later that the date of the next All Stars Night will be changed
as TDSA judges’ team will not be available on Jan 23, 2010.

The 1st All Stars Night in January 2007,
Yukio san and I went to see the competition in the day session
but didn’t join the night party.

Sorry I didn’t have the pictures of the 1st All Stars Night.
The above picture was taken from the 2nd All Stars Night.

I would like to invite members to help me posting
some pictures and the interesting information of the past activities
which will be useful for some international dancers
who may be interested to join the next competition and night party.

Pa Odd informed yesterday that the date of the next All Stars Night will be changed
as TDSA judges’ team will not be available on Jan 23, 2010.
I will let you know the new schedules as soon as possible.

Hopefully no problem for you as there will be enough time
and you have not yet fixed your plan.

The flowers is one of IKEBANA (Japanese flower arrangement) .
IKEBANA is traditional Japanese arts.
Is it beautiful ?

Now I'm enjoy dancing for practice, Lesson, and party.
It is cold season coming to Japan.
The dance hall is no cold because under control the temperature.
But outside of the hall is very cold.

Kiyoko san and me are planning to join the dance competition at Japan from next year.
So now we are practice for next year.
We selected the teacher Mr.Yuu Yamamoto.
He is same teacher with last time.

You will start the dance competition in Japan from next year.
Is it the same as you did before you came to Thailand?
Will you have to start from NOVICE and try to get the accumulate points
in order to move to the higher class?

Do you have the bigger pictures of Yuu sensei’s trip to Bangkok?

Is it possible to offer him and the gang to visit Thailand again,
the same trip with you to cheer your couple at All Stars Night?

Good news for you and friends.

The next All Stars Night is scheduled to be held on Saturday, 30 Jan 2010,
at the Grand Diamond Room, Whale Hotel in Nakhon Pathom.

I’ll give the important details about the categories and rules of the competition at this topic.

May I post the information of other dance competitions in Thailand at this topic
as the international dancers/competitors may be interested in joining.

A.P. DANCESPORT CLUB will be the organizer
for the competitions in 2009-2010 for 6 times.
 
The small competitions in about every 2 month 5 times
plus the big one in September 2010.
 
There will be 2 types:
 
1.  ONE DANCE 
2.  PRE – AMATEUR (3 Dances)

Total 8 categories:

1.  SENIOR 1
     Age of each competitor 35 up
 
2.  SENIOR 2
     One is 40 up partner is 45 up

3.  GRAND SENIOR
     One is 50 up partner is 55 up

4.  SUPER GRAND SENIOR
     Age of a couple 120 up

5.  PRO – AM 1
     Pro is not more than 35, Am is 35 up

6.  PRO – AM 2
     Pro is not more than 45, Am is 70 up

7.   PRE – AMATEUR 1
      Ages of a couple 70-100

8.   PRE – AMATEUR 2
      Ages of a couple 100 up

Note: For ONE DANCE,
the couples who used to get the 1st place
will not be allowed to join.
 
The first competition will be on Saturday, 12 December 2009.
 
One dance latin is Rumba and Waltz for standard.
Pre-Amateur latin are Rumba/Cha Cha/Jive.
Pre-Amateur standard are Waltz/Foxtrot/Viennese Waltz.

I will join to dance competition at Japan from Feb. 2010.
I need join the lowest class.
Because I did not join the competition Japan last 5 years.
So I lost my position at Japan already.
Now the dance competition Japan has 6 classes from A to F.
I need good result for class up.
If I have no good result, I go down the class.
There are so many couples in Japan dance competition.
The competition is very competitive.

Never mind, I can enjoy dancing in the competition.
No interesting for the result.
Enjoy dancing !! It's more interesting for me.
